Carnival of Limoux

An unmissable event in the region for 400 years, the Carnival of Limoux can boast of being considered the longest carnival in the world! Indeed, it lasts no less than three months (from January to March) for the greatest pleasure of the "badauds" (spectators). This event, listed as intangible heritage of France takes place this year from January 19 to March 29, 2020, with festivities planned every weekend. The parades are organized around three highlights (at 11 am, 4:30 pm, and 10 pm) where musicians and dancers bring the local folklore of Limoux back to life in the Place de la République.

Truffle Markets

Food lovers and epicureans will be able to stroll around the market in Castelnaudary on Sunday, February 16, to test their flair at one of the last Truffle Markets of the Pays Cathare of the year.
